HOW OUR PRICING WORKS

Here’s what goes into building your quote: 

Hourly Rates: 

Our moves are billed hourly for: 

  • Local Residential Moves 
  • Long-Distance Moves 
  • Commercial and Office Moves 
  • Labor-Only Moving Services 
  • Furniture Donation Moving Services 

Flat-Rate Services: 

For simple Furniture Delivery Moves, we offer competitive flat-rate pricing based on the distance and item details. 

Mileage Fee: 

The first 35 miles are free. After that, a mileage fee applies based on the distance of your move. 

Booking Fee (Non-Refundable Deposit):

This upfront fee secures your move date and time, and helps cover key operational costs like gas, equipment use, and wear and tear on our trucks — so your Buddy arrives ready, reliable, and on time.

PLEASE NOTE: This deposit is strictly non-refundable. If you cancel your move at any time, your deposit will be retained.

Additional Charges & Rescheduling Policy 

At Hoosier Buddy, we do everything we can to keep things smooth. But sometimes life happens — and we’re here to help manage the unexpected. 

  • Standard Moves: 

    You have up to one week (7 days) before your scheduled move to cancel or reschedule without penalty.

    If you cancel or reschedule more than 7 days out, your deposit is fully refundable or transferrable. 

  • Inconvenience Fee: 

    If unexpected complications arise—such as additional stops, items added that were not on your original inventory list, restricted access, long stair carries, or anything that slows down the job—a small fee may be applied to keep your move running smoothly.

We always recommend providing as much notice as possible to avoid fees and to help us serve you better.

Same-Day Moves 

When You Need a Buddy—Today.

We understand that not everything in life goes according to plan. If you need to move the same day and we have availability, we’re on it. 

Same-day moves are billed at a premium hourly rate and require a deposit to book your crew. 

 

Heads up: From May through September, we’re in peak moving season. It’s best to schedule ahead—but if life throws you a curveball, give us a call.
